Typical Classroom Schedule

7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m.:  Early Arrival.  Choice of activities available in the early morning classroom.

 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.: Arrival. Greetings are exchanged. 

9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Activity Time.  Children and staff are actively engaged in on-going activities.  Teachers work with children individually and in small groups to facilitate their play, social interactions and activities. Typical activities during the day will incorporate art, literature, baking, blocks, music and dramatic play. 

9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Snack.  Wash hands. Snack is offered to all children.

 10:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m.: Clean Up Time.  Children and staff clean up Activity Time activities.

 10:15 a.m.-11:00 a.m.: Studio.  Various art and sensory materials are available for the children to explore and create. 

 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Outside.  The length of time outside will depend on the needs and desires of the children.

 12:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m.: Lunch.  Wash hands. Prepare and eat lunch.

 12:30 p.m.-1:00 p.m.: Diapering/Toileting.  As children finish lunch, staff will change diapers and help with toileting to prepare for rest or departure. 

12:45 p.m.. -1:00 p.m.: Half Day Dismissal: Half Day children wrap up and prepare for dismissal. 

Additional information:

• Nutritious morning and afternoon snacks are provided by Little Hands Academy.

• Staff will assist all children with toileting/diapering on an individual, as needed basis.

• Children bring their lunch.  Refrigeration is available.

• This is an example of a typical day.  The components of our day are always the same; however the length of time we spend on our activities may vary.
